The weather is actually nicer than forecast so I thought I’d wander down town and see what was going on for Canada Day. Merrickville Rocks! Imagine my delight when I heard the news – not one but TWO of my monkees had been found. Smiler and Buttons -
Now, I hadn’t hidden them in particularly hard to find places but they were both found by Karen who was on a mission! I think she had spied them in my blog posting and [...] Today is the first day of June, not that you’d know it by the weather. It’s barely above 10c and raining again. David decided we needed to go to the Post Office and as I had a package to mail we went together. Did we get anything exciting in the post? Monkees don’t all hail from tropical regions at all! They are alive and well in the Great White North! Descendants of a tribe that trudged across an ice bridge from Madagascar in the Pleistocene Age over a million years ago (you didn’t know about THAT either [...] It’s always nice to find a local artist, and even more so when it’s one I have something in common with!
