I admit it, I was terrible at keeping my blog up last year. This post is catch up of important things I didn’t blog about (or started to and didn’t finish!). My highlight of last year was our trip to Newfoundland, David and I went for two weeks in August to visit my daughter Beka and her boyfriend [...] Terpsichore – The Greek myth name of a muse of dance, meaning "enjoying the dance" Gaia – Goddess of [...] Exciting news, I am going to have a booth at the Brockville Artisan’s Village. I have signed on for six days – here are the dates. It’s all Sundays except one - June 27 The Market runs from 10am to 4pm each Sunday through the summer and is located on [...] I’ve taken a break from Monkees (oh don’t worry.. they’ll be baaaack ), and have been making goddess beads. I am not making the sculptural/figurative kind, my goddess beads are more glyph-like or symbolic. When I first made these beads I had a basic shape in mind which was inspired by a Goddess bead by Sage [...] I’ve been enjoying making Goddess beads the last couple of days. I’m pleased with the design and I like the way the silver leaf and ivory glass give a natural, almost bone-like quality to the glass. I like them for their meaning and history – which means I prefer Goddess beads that are more representative of the ancient world. When I decided to first make some Goddess beads I didn’t think I’d be able to pull off a nice [...] This Goddess has a cubic zircona between her hands, I’m posting it for my daughter Beka in NL [...] With the Women’s Fair coming up I thought I should make some Christmassy themed beads so here’s a preview of some I’ll have available that day - I’ve wanted to make some Goddess beads as well, but can’t bring myself to try the torso type so decided to take another track.
