Holo-Boro

Here they are – my very first hollow boro beads!

The dotted one is my favourite, part of it reduced to a silky gold finish, now I want to see if I can get a whole bead that colour!  The pictures don’t capture that unfortunately.

Today I melted my first rod of Borosilicate glass!!!  It’s a big deal, I’ve been dreaming about it for a long time!

The dark side? Yes, borosilicate or boro glass. I keep seeing the most wonderful beads and vessels made from this glass. I am totally in love with the colours that swirl and create universes of such depth and beauty in these creations.
